Sales Engineer Objective

The Sales Engineer plays a critical role in growing our company cultivating new client relationships and further developing existing ones.  EMR Group Sales Engineer will combine technical knowledge with sales skills. The emphasis of the work varies depending on the level of technical knowledge needed to sell EMR Group products and services and respond effectively to clients’ queries.  The Sales Engineer ensures that both the clients’ and EMR Groups needs are met.  The Sales Engineer will liaise regularly with other members of the EMR Group team.   

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Requirements

  • Maintain expert knowledge of all company products and services
  • Effectively demonstrate our services with a consultative approach
  • Develop and maintain communications with all levels of staff and customers
  • Two years experience selling IT services
  • Technical certifications (MCD, MCSE, VMWARE, A+, CISCO)
  • The ability to understand and interpret IT industry terms and technologies
  • Perform new product testing and assist in field beta trials
  • Excellent PC Skills (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational ability
  • The ability to prioritize workload
  • Strong understanding of the sales cycle, from prospecting to post sales support
  • The ability to successfully work cross-functionally in a multi-tasking environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work at various levels, internally and externally
  • The ability to work independently in a fast paced environment 

Pre Sales Support

  • Help Sales team to develop market strategies that result in revenues and organizational successProviding pre-sales technical assistance and product education
  • Persuading clients that a product or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery
  • Recording and maintaining client contact data

Sales support

  • Managing and interpreting customer requirements, speaking with clients to understand, anticipate and meet their needs
  • local travel to visit potential and existing clients
  • Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product meets client needs
  • Supporting marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events
  • Liaising with other members of the sales team and other technical experts
  • Meeting regular sales targets
  • Calculating client quotations

 Post Sales Support

  • Post implementation support and services
  • Function as an Implementation project manager for new client installations, including training for new clients
  • Providing post-sales support services
  • Developing and growing long-term relationships with customers
  • Preparing reports for both clients and EMR Group executive team
  • helping in the design of custom-made products
  • providing training and producing support material for other members of the sales team
